Food Bank Support
Position Summary:
As a Food Distribution Assistant Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to provide nutritious food to individuals and families in need. Volunteers help assemble grocery bags, maintain a clean and organized distribution area, assist with inventory, and offer friendly service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare food items and grocery bags for distribution.

Keep the storage and distribution areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.

Build positive relationships with fellow volunteers, staff, donors, and clients.

Provide interpretation for clients when needed (Spanish or Vietnamese preferred).

Assist with other tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Deliver compassionate and respectful service to all clients.
Skills & Qualities Needed:

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Clear and respectful communication skills.

Willingness to support a diverse community with empathy and professionalism.

Dependable and punctual.

Basic math and reading skills.
-
Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese) is a plus.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
-
Able to walk, reach, and use hands frequently during shifts.

Volunteer shifts are typically Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
