VIRTUAL NEED - Remote Helpline Volunteer
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, the Orange County Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC) has been activated to support immediate volunteer needs, including hands-on and virtual opportunities during this disaster.
The Mission of 2-1-1 Orange County is to connect the vulnerable with the health and human resources they need when they need it most. We connect, collaborate, and inform across all community stakeholders to better empower our community as a whole.
211 Orange County is a nonprofit looking for volunteers to work remotely from home to help our increased need for the volume of client calls and texts we have been receiving due to the pandemic. We are hoping to find long term volunteers. Our organization couldn’t run without the help of our volunteers! Volunteers would focus on connecting the community with food pantry resources. Must be willing to work in case of disaster, due to the current health crisis, volunteers will mainly focus on helping connect to food pantry resources and other disaster-related inquiries.
Shifts are in 4-hour increments between the hours of 9am-9pm, 7 days a week.
Following skills are preferred:
- Excellent Computer skills
- Administrative history
- Excellent Telephone Etiquette
