Volunteer Truck Driver & Driver's Assistant

Volunteer Truck Driver & Driver’s Assistant:
Our Volunteer Truck Drivers are a vital part of our organization. With the Volunteer Driver’s Assistant, Volunteers drive to predetermined locations to pick up and unload crucial food donations for our pantry, as well as other seasonal items from our donors.
Qualifications

Age of 25 years or older

Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds.

Ability to drive a box truck.

Good driving record.

Ability to use or learn to use an electric pallet jack.

Have a positive attitude and team mentality.

Ability to act as a liaison between Families Forward and the donor organization.
Location

Irvine, CA
Time Commitment
-
One, 3-hour shift per week

We understand you may need days off and are happy to work with your personal schedule.
Available Shifts
-
Mondays, 9-11am
-
Tuesday, 9-12pm or 1-4pm
-
Thursday, 9-12pm or 1-4pm
Essential Volunteer Responsibilities:

FF Truck Driver: This role drives our box truck to predetermined donation locations, speaks with the donor, and loads pallets and/or bags, boxes, or carts of donated food and/or other goods.

Driver’s Assistant: This role rides along with the FF Truck Driver and assists in all loading, communication with donors, and unloading of donated goods.
