Become a facilitator for our Job Preparation Class: Keeping the Job!
Chrysalis OC is looking for a in-person facilitator for the fourth class of our program: Keeping the Job. In this class you will be the guide and leader who accompanies our clients to learn best ways to handle feedback, learn about HR Department and how to keep a job.
This class is held every Thursday at 10:00am to 11:30am. To volunteer for this class, you must be available to come weekly to teach the class.
Chrysalis serves people navigating barriers to the workforce by offering a job-readiness program, individualized supportive services, and paid transitional employment. We empower our clients on their pathway to stability, security, and fulfillment in their work and lives.
The Class Facilitator will:
- Provide facilitation for clients signed up for the Chrysalis job preparation class
- Follow Chrysalis’ facilitator guide when facilitating class
- Empower clients on how to confidently speak and present their professional experiences and backgrounds throughout the job search
- Communicate with assigned Volunteer & Program Coordinator after shift(s), in the case of any client issues, changes in volunteer schedule, etc.
Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply! A volunteer may choose to teach one or more courses at a time.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Highly motivated by Chrysalis’ mission and desire to improve social and economic
fabric of our community - Be at least 18+ years

- Attend a volunteer informational session
- Be prepared to work with individuals who have limited work experience
- Be willing to work respectfully with people of all cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Intermediate Computing and Applications (comfortability using Zoom and Google Drive)
- Complete online training modules
- Honor confidentiality of client records and sign volunteer handbook and agreement
