EVC-Medical Trained POD Volunteers List 1 (1/4/21-1/13/21)

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, the Orange County Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC) has been activated to support immediate volunteer needs, including hands-on and virtual opportunities during this disaster.

About this EVC Volunteer Opportunity...
In anticipation of future needs, our Virtual Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC)
is currently pre-registering Medical Trained Volunteers (Only Currently Licensed) interested in assisting government staff with COVID-19 vaccinations at Points of Distribution (POD) sites this year. The County of Orange is looking to establish an interest list of other medical specialties (Acupuncturist, Chiropractors etc.) or professionals with previous medical experience but have expired licenses/certifications, willing to serve in these crucial volunteer roles.

Qualifications...
Although specific skills will vary for each project request, ALL volunteers will be asked to submit any licenses/certifications documentation. You may also be asked to participate in interview(s) and/or background checks.

Next Steps...
Volunteers MUST upload their SKILL DOCUMENTATION (any applicable licenses/certifications) to their personal Volunteer Account Profiles.
See navigation below:
  • LOG IN to YOUR personal account in the upper right corner
  • Once logged in…Click on My Account

  • Scroll down to DISASTER/EMERGENCY/HEALTH SERVICES & Click the + sign to expand box
  • Scroll down to Emergency Medical Assistance & then move the box to the appropriate Skill Level including Low, Medium, High, & Expert
  • At that time…a grey box will appear to ADD TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS
Upload Note:  If you have multiple Licenses/Certifications you are uploading, please scan ALL documents into 1 Single PDF and then upload that file.

After registering through the EVC your information will be sent to the Orange County Healthcare Agency for medical license/certification verification. Upon verification of your medical licenses/certifications you will be placed on a volunteer eligibility list.  Should the need arise that your volunteer services are needed the County will contact you with further instructions for any additional training required, scheduling and reporting instructions.  We do anticipate that medically trained volunteers will be needed in the following months to come so we appreciate your patience and understanding. Thank you for stepping forward to assist the County of Orange’s fight against COVID-19.

Please note: Appropriate safety gear- PPE, gloves, N95 masks and goggles- will be provided, although personal vaccinations cannot be guaranteed at this time.

Thank you for making "Service a Solution" by offering your time & talents.
