ON-SITE Thankful for Our Ocean Beach Cleanup (DOS)
At Ocean Institute we are thankful for our wonderful ocean! Join us in celebrating the ocean by helping to keep it clean. We will provide trash pickers and bags. Please bring a reusable water bottle, sun screen, sun glasses, and closed toed shoes.
Data derived from the Ocean Conservancy demonstrated that approximately 3,216,991 cigarettes or cigarette butts were collected from beaches and inland waterways all over the world in 2009. Cigarette butts have a devastating effect on our ocean's ecosystem and marine life who mistake them for food items. Help us remove cigarette butts, plastic straws, and more from reaching our ocean by participating in a beach cleanup.
You can join one of our public beach cleanups or book a private beach cleanup for your family or group. We can accommodate cleanup groups as large as 30 people.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
