Disaster Cadre Training - Individually Scheduled 2022

Why Join OneOC Disaster Cadre? Orange County residents have always been moved to support their local communities in times of need. We are looking for volunteer members who are willing to attend quarterly training sessions, participate in active drills, and respond to set up and run an Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC) when disaster strikes. OneOC Disaster Cadre works in conjunction with local and state emergency response officials and is preparing its Emergency Volunteer Center (EVC) to be ready to respond to Southern California following a disaster. The EVC serves as a reception and registration site for people who want to volunteer and will match them to community needs. This is an opportunity to: Receive training in Emergency Volunteer Center set-up, operations, and management. Provide outreach, support, and partnerships to local organizations through disaster volunteer opportunities. Help with local emergency efforts following a disaster How to Join: Step 1: Express interest here to begin! We'll reach out to you with more information for steps 2 & 3. Step 2: Take online disaster training preparedness course (30 minute, recorded session) Step 3: Join monthly training meetings. New members may begin at any time.
