VIRTUAL - Holiday Gift Program for Meals on Wheels OC (DOS)
Meals on Wheels OC is excited to offer an opportunity for the 2020 Season of Giving! Each year we host our Holiday Gift Program which provides a special gift to homebound seniors who receive meals on wheels. In light of Covid-19 restrictions, we are doing things a little differently this year, but you can still make this season much brighter for older adults in North & Central Orange County!
This year we have set up an Amazon Wish List, based on what we have determined are needed items for those we serve. You can simply choose which items to give and they will be sent to us to distribute with their meals. We are hoping to collect over 1200 items this year! In addtion, we are also in need of $25 gift cards to Walmart, Target, or Amazon. These cards will be used to purchase specific items requested by our clients. The older adults we serve are very isolated and this is normally the only gift they will receive over the holidays, so this ensures that they do not feel forgotten during this season.
Regardless of how many gifts you can provide, each and every one will make an impact, so thank you in advance for supporting our efforts! Note: We can accept these gifts from October 1st-December 18th, 2020.
