Medical Appointment Driver
Become a volunteer driver and help seniors who are missing medical appointments due to lack of transportation. Using your own vehicle, assist seniors in the Irvine community with rides to and from non-emergency medical appointments. Transportation requests are fulfilled Monday through Friday, 9 am - 5 pm. Participants call a minimum of one week in advance to request a ride. The volunteer has the option of accepting or declining the ride request; position offers a flexible schedule for volunteer drivers. Scheduling and staff support based out of the Keen Center for Senior Resources at the Irvine Lakeview Senior Center.
Volunteers must provide a current Driver's License, current Auto Insurance, & complete a Live Scan Clearance. A six month commitment is requested of volunteers.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 21+, Minimum Age:21+
